Cookie Policy

As our website uses so-called “cookies” for various purposes, with this notice, we want to explain what cookies are and how they are used on the website.

Some cookies (so-called “first-party cookies”) are transmitted and controlled directly by us. Through these cookies, the Company collects and processes certain personal data related to you. In this notice, also pursuant to Art. 13 of Legislative Decree no. 196 of 30 June 2003 (the “Privacy Code”) and pursuant to Art. 13 of EU Regulation 2016/679 of 27 April 2016 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data (hereinafter, the “Regulation,” the Regulation and the Privacy Code together are defined as the “Applicable Legislation”), we explain how we collect this data, for what purposes, and what your rights are.

Other cookies (so-called “third-party cookies”), instead, are conveyed and controlled by third parties. In this notice, you will find links to the information published by these third parties, which we invite you to read carefully.

1) Cookies on this site

2) What cookies are and what they are used for

Cookies are small text files that the websites visited by the user send directly to their computer (usually the browser), where they are stored to be retransmitted to the same sites during the user’s next visit (so-called first-party cookies). In the course of browsing a site, the user may also receive cookies from different sites or web servers on their computer (so-called third-party cookies); this happens because the visited website may contain elements such as images, maps, sounds, specific links to web pages of other domains that reside on servers which are different from the one on which the requested page is located. In other words, these are those cookies that are set by a website other than the one you are currently visiting.

Cookies can have a limited duration to a single browsing session on the browser (so-called session cookies), and in this case, they are automatically deactivated when the user closes the browser; or they can have a predetermined expiration date and, in this case, they will remain stored and active on your hard disk until that expiration date, continuing to collect information during different browsing sessions on the browser (so-called persistent cookies).

Cookies are used for various functions. Some are necessary to allow you to browse the website and take advantage of its features (so-called technical cookies). Others are used to obtain statistical information, in aggregated or non-aggregated form, on the number of users accessing the website and how the website is used (so-called monitoring or analytics cookies). Finally, others are used to track your consumer profile and show you advertisements on the website that may be of interest to you, as they are consistent with your tastes and consumption habits (so-called profiling cookies).

To learn more about these different categories of cookies, keep reading this notice. Discover how they work and what they are used for, and choose freely whether to consent to their use or prevent it.

3) Technical cookies

Technical cookies are used on the website solely for the purpose of enabling your navigation on the website and allowing you to use its features. These are always first-party cookies, as they are transmitted directly by us on the website.

Some technical cookies are essential to offer you an optimal browsing experience or to allow you to authenticate yourself on the website, for example, to make a purchase on the website or to enter your reserved area (so-called navigation cookies). Navigation cookies are normally session cookies and, therefore, once the browsing browser is closed, they are automatically deactivated.

Other technical cookies are useful to allow you to store some of your preferences (for example, language or country of origin) without having to reset them during subsequent visits (so-called functional cookies). For this reason, functional cookies are often persistent cookies, as they remain stored on your computer even after the closure of the browsing browser, until their expiration date or until you decide to delete them.

As required by current privacy legislation, the prior consent is not required for the installation of such technical cookies. Of course, you are free to block the installation of technical cookies by changing your browser settings (read paragraph 6 to find out how). However, consider that by blocking the installation of technical cookies, or subsequently deleting them, the possibility of accessing the website, using it in whole or in part, enabling or disabling certain functions, or receiving certain services may be wholly or partially compromised.

4) Tracking cookies or “analytics” cookies

Analytics cookies are used on the website to collect statistical information, in aggregated or non-aggregated form, about the number of users accessing the website and how they visit the website.

The analytics cookies on this website are third-party cookies because they are not directly transmitted by us but by third parties. Therefore, they are not installed directly by the Company but by third parties.

The following third-party analytics cookies are installed on the website only with your prior explicit consent, as they are not anonymized, and the third parties may access disaggregated analytics data at the IP address level (in other words, using these cookies, third parties could theoretically identify your identity through the IP address).

For this reason, when you access the website, a specific banner is displayed prominently, informing you that third-party analytics cookies are used on the website, and that by closing the banner, scrolling the homepage, or clicking any element of the homepage outside the banner, you consent to the use of cookies. If you express your consent to the installation of cookies in this way, we will keep track of your consent through a specific technical cookie. This way, we will avoid showing you the cookie banner during your subsequent visits to the site. Please note that if you were to delete this technical cookie from your browser using the methods described in the following paragraph 6), the record of your consent would be lost and, therefore, during your next visit to the site the cookie banner will be displayed again.

Of course, you are free to block the installation of analytics cookies at any time, without compromising your ability to visit the website and enjoy its content in any way. To find out how to do this, please read the cookie information of third parties carefully by following the links provided below.

5) Profiling cookies

Profiling cookies are used to create a user profile for you, based on the preferences and tastes you have expressed during internet browsing, and to display advertising messages consistent with your profile. This way, the advertising messages you will see on our site may be more interesting to you.

As required by the current legislation on privacy, your prior consent is necessary for the installation of these cookies. For this reason, when you access the site, a specific banner is displayed prominently, informing you that (i) profiling cookies are used on the website and that (ii) by closing the banner, scrolling the homepage, or clicking any element of the homepage outside the banner, you consent to the use of cookies. If you express your consent to the installation of cookies in this way, we will keep track of your consent through a specific technical cookie. This way, we will avoid showing you the cookie banner during your subsequent visits to the site. Please note that if you were to delete this technical cookie from your browser using the methods described in the following paragraph 6, the record of your consent would be lost, and therefore, during your next visit to the site, the cookie banner will be displayed again.

Of course, you are free to block the installation of profiling cookies at any time, without compromising your ability to visit the site and enjoy its content in any way. If you decide to disable behavioral advertising, it does not mean that you will no longer receive advertising on the site. However, the banners you will see on the site may not reflect your interests or preferences on the browser you are currently using.

Profiling cookies are installed by third parties, which act as independent data controllers (third-party cookies).

6) How to manage cookies and oppose their use

There are several options for managing, disabling, and deleting cookies.

A) Change site settings from this page

Use the features provided in the table at the beginning of this page to disable or enable the macro-categories of cookies (technical, analytics, and profiling).

B) Change your browser settings

Follow the instructions provided by the browser you use to find out how to manage, disable or delete all cookies (technical, analytics and profiling):

Make your choices carefully. By indiscriminately blocking the receipt of all cookies, including technical cookies, without providing a specific exception for the Site, you may, in fact, no longer be able to browse the Site or take advantage of some or all of its features. In addition, by deleting all cookies from your browser, technical cookies may also be removed and, therefore, you may also remove the preferences you have set using the Site or no longer be able to find the products or services you have placed in your shopping cart.

B) Use interactive tools provided by third parties

To disable third-party cookies, please refer to the third parties’ privacy notices that install analytics cookies (see the previous paragraph 4) or profiling cookies (see the previous paragraph 5) to learn about other tools at your disposal to manage, disable, and delete cookies, and, more generally, to object to their use. Remember that by disabling third-party cookies, you oppose their use not only on the site but on all the websites where such cookies are used, and the possibility of browsing the site and using its features will not be in any way prejudiced. When you disable third-party cookies, you will still see the banner on the homepage regarding cookies; in this case, however, by closing the banner, scrolling the homepage, or clicking any element of the homepage outside the banner, you will not receive any third-party cookies that you have correctly disabled.

C) Please use the website www.youronlinechoices.eu

Your Online Choices is a website managed by the non-profit association European Interactive Digital Advertising Alliance (EDAA), and its Italian version can be accessed at the address www.youronlinechoices.eu/it/. It provides information about behavioral advertising based on profiling cookies (http://www.youronlinechoices.com/it/a-proposito) and enables internet users to easily opt out of the installation of the main profiling cookies installed by advertising operators and used on websites (http://www.youronlinechoices.com/it/le-tue-scelte). Before using this tool, we recommend that you carefully read the general terms of service of the Your Online Choices website (http://www.youronlinechoices.com/it/condizioni-generali-di-servizio), the frequently asked questions (FAQ) (http://www.youronlinechoices.com/it/faqs), and the user guide (http://www.youronlinechoices.com/it/help).

Use Your Online Choices consciously. Although Your Online Choices brings together many of the world’s most important advertising companies that use cookies, some of the third parties that install cookies through the Site may not have adhered to Your Online Choices. Therefore, the use of Your Online Choices does not guarantee that you will receive third-party cookies while browsing the Site. Also, bear in mind that by deleting all cookies from your browser, even the technical cookies released by Your Online Choices to remember your choices may be deleted, thus reactivating third-party cookies.

7) How can I disable cookies?

Most browsers accept cookies automatically, but you can also choose not to accept them. If you do not want your computer to receive and store cookies, you can change the security settings of the browser (Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Safari, etc.). There are various ways to manage cookies and other tracking technologies. By changing the browser settings, you can accept or reject cookies or decide to receive a warning message before accepting a cookie from visited websites. You can delete all cookies installed in the cookie folder of your browser. Each browser has different procedures for managing settings.
